Daniel W. Ostler
Dan Ostler (who goes by the more formal Daniel W. Ostler because it is, to date, unique on the internet) graduated in Biophysics from the University of Waterloo and pursued a career in medical radiation physics. Working in the areas of forefront research and product design, Dan had a ringside seat to the emergence of modern diagnostic radiology technologies as well as laser surgery. Now retired, cruising is the order of the day, and no event is anticipated with more enthusiasm than boarding a ship bound for new adventures.
An enthusiastic proponent of adult education, Dan is a past board member and program chair of the Bluewater Association for Lifelong Learning. His interest in the way things work in the world of nature and the effect of these interactions on the course of history has given rise to the Connecting the Dots lecture series he presents internationally.
Dan and Donna (The Star Lady) are perennial shipboard favorites and have presented entertaining informative lectures on cruises all over the world including Europe, South America, Africa, the South Pacific, and the Far East. The photographs herein were collected during our many voyages. The little 'i' icon at the bottom of the picture, when clicked, will reveal, in most cases, a map of the location of the shot. The diagonal arrows to the top left will expand the map, and the scroll wheel on your mouse will change map scale
